1: Chakra Tune-up Yoga

Thursday 12th April 6:30-7:30am, (60 minutes). $20. Sanctuary 38.

Revitalise yourself with an inner tune-up created thousands of years ago by the first yogini - Lady Niguma. Recorded 1000 years ago, Lady Niguma’s Yoga, is a systematic opening of the seven chakras, or energy centres of the body—each corresponding to an emotional, physical and spiritual state. Lady Niguma described asana as a path to enlightenment: each twist, bend, bandha or retention has pure goals in the spirit and heart of the mind.

Niguma’s yoga follows a set progression through the chakras, allowing prana to flow more easily into the central channel. The series is especially designed to free prana so you can be happy and at peace. This series is perfect for busy people who may not have a lot of free time: with practice the series can be finished in under an hour.

Meditation on the Six Perfections

2: THURSDAY 12th 7:45-9:15pm (90 minutes), $30

The Buddha’s “Six Perfections” are innate human qualities that form a blueprint for living a meaningful life. These treasures are Generosity, Kindness, Patience, Joyful Effort, Stillness, and Wisdom. They remind us that when we’re born into this world, we join a web of interconnectedness and inter-being. The six qualities are called perfections because we’re constantly led to practice these virtues until we “perfect” our human lives. Join award-winning author, yoga teacher, teacher training and Tokyo yoga studio owner Leza Lowitz for a yogic exploration of these six perfections through the outer method of asana practice and the inner method of meditation and mindfulness.

Money, Meaning, and Love - How to Create True Abundance WORKSHOP

SATURDAY 14th, April. New Time: 3-5:30 pm New Investment : $30.00

Do you feel guilty having plenty? How do you approach giving and receiving?
Do you love what you do?
Does something always seem to stop you from pursuing your dreams?
Money and abundance, like everything else in the universe, are forms of energy. They have certain spiritual laws of flow. What is your attitude towards money and abundance? Where did it come from? Do you give yourself permission to have abundance in every area? Now is the time!

This workshop is about opening up ALL CHANNELS OF FLOW in the universe and manifesting your highest potential to help you serve others.
This workshop will also help you understand and transform your relationship to money and flow, ultimately helping you find your life’s work and realize your natural state of abundance and generosity, having more to give and share.

In this workshop, we will use:
・ guided meditations
・ journaling
・ manifesting techniques
・ partner work
・ magnetizing techniques and more…

All to help you understand and transform your beliefs about abundance, listen to your intuition, and draw opportunity and possibility to you in ways that support you and the universe.

How to Be A Great Yoga Teacher -a Workshop for Teachers and Trainees

4: SUNDAY 15th a) 7:30 am-11:00am (3 hours plus two x 15 minute breaks)

This is a Continuing Education (CE) WORKSHOP for Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT). Leza Lowitz will be assisted by Gail Pisani and Shivani.

Are you already a yoga teacher ? Do you want to be a yoga teacher?
Or perhaps you are looking for a teacher, but haven’t found him or her yet.

How do you find—or become--a good teacher?
What qualities constitute a good teacher?
What qualities constitute becoming–and staying–a good teacher?

In this workshop we will look at classic Tibetan tantric texts written thousands of years ago that offer valuable tips on the magic of teaching. These important, practical, surprising and extremely valuable tools are even more relevant today.

If you are a yoga teacher, or a teacher of any kind, these are teachings you will want to know.

Workshop includes lecture and time for writing, self-reflection, partner sharing, and Q & A.

About LEZA LOWITZ

Califonian native, LEZA LOWITZ is the director of the studio - Sun and Moon Yoga- in Tokyo Japan.

After decades as a successful freelance writer, editor, and university instructor, Leza came to the realization that her hectic lifestyle was burning her out, and that she wanted a more spiritual relationship to the world. Was there a way to “do” less and “be” more? Was there a way to heal oneself and re-connect with herself and others in the world? Looking for answers, she took her first yoga class in 1989 and has studied yoga with renowned teachers from all over the world, and has herself gone on to teach and train thousands of people internationally.

Lowitz has continued her writing, seeing the creative path as one of healing, teaching, evolution, and divine inspiration, much like yoga. She has published twenty books, including the best-selling book, Yoga Poems: Lines to Unfold By and Sacred Sanskrit Words (with Reema Datta), Jet Black & the Ninja Wind, Here Comes the Sun (her yoga memoir), and Up from the Sea (A YA novel about the 3-11-11 disaster in Japan).
